I thank them for releasing Welcome to the NHK, but detest them for giving up on the novel so easily. So when Welcome to the NHK showed the life and mind of a NEET (Not in Employment, Education, or Training) and hikikomori (a person suffering from acute social withdrawal), a situation that was somewhat unfamiliar to me at first glance yet was quite applicable to many . It's partly because NHK is a deeply personal story. One can attempt to sum up Welcome to the N.H.K. I am curious about reading the light novel that this series is based off of, but I may have to settle for the manga based on the novel that was translated and brought into the U.S. And sure enough, FUNimation had released an all time favorite of mine, Welcome to the NHK, in a complete series box set a few weeks ago. I'm not writing a review, so don't expect a recommendation either way. As an aching ode to the social cripples and generally broken figures of society, but to do so is to oversimplify the matter. I just finished reading Welcome to the NHK. Also, the final volume of Peace Maker Kurogane is due out in October.
